Microbial Degradation of Industrially Important Textile Dyes
نویسندگان
چکیده
The high demand for dyes in the paper, cosmetic, clothing, leather, and food industries drives up use of as a result industrialization. As result, wastewater production from dye manufacturing activities will rise. presence their structural compounds industrial sources place humans, animals plants lives at risk. Synthetic are more challenging to decolorize because they resistant chemical physical remediation than natural dyes. Microbial degradation has been investigated checked mainly speed degradation. This paper discusses types textile its biodegradation scientific technological standpoint. It also compiles data on factors that influence dye(s) biodegradation, role microbial species process, future research directions this field.

Degradation of textile dyes by cyanobacteria
Dyes are recalcitrant compounds that resist conventional biological treatments. The degradation of three textile dyes (Indigo, RBBR and Sulphur Black), and the dye-containing liquid effluent and solid waste from the Municipal Treatment Station, Americana, São Paulo, Brazil, by the cyanobacteria Anabaena flos-aquae UTCC64, Phormidium autumnale UTEX1580 and Synechococcus sp. PCC7942 was evaluated...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Degradation of Textile Dyes in aTiO2/UV System
This study is focused on development of a method of TiO2 immobilization, convenient for the wastewater remediation (especially for the degradation of textile dyes) and cheap for an industrial operation. An influence of selected operational parameters on process performance was verified. Methylene Blue was chosen as the model dye, however, a possibility of decolorization of other dyes was also t...
متن کاملBiological Degradation of Textile Dyes using Marine Bacillus species
Rapid industrialization has necessitated the manufacture and use of different chemicals in day to day life. Water is life but now-a-days due to advancement in industrialization, it a spoiling a lot. In the present study, an attempt was made to examine the isolation and identification of Bacillus species from marine soil, Nagapattinum seashore, Tamil Nadu, India. Dyes are collected from in aroun...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Degradation of Textile Dyes Using Ozonation and Magnetic Nickel Ferrite Nanoparticle
Dye photodegradation using ozone and Nickel ferrite nanoparticle (NFN) as a photocatalyst was studied. The catalyst was synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, SEM and XRD. Textile dyes including Remazol Red RB (RRRB) and Direct Green B (DGB) were degraded as model compounds. Dye degradation was investigated using UV–Vis and ion chromatography (IC) analyses. The effect of catalyst dosage, pH, s...
